"A spokesman for the church in Australia, Sydney solicitor Vincent Toole, dismissed the allegations and said shunning was a"myth.""
I think this a common way of WTS-officials to put it. The shunning is always the choice of the individual JW, nothing that the WTS demands. Of course it's a lie....or theocratic warfare.....but they keep stating this for not getting in to legal trouble.
Anyhow, this loyal Toole must have some problems with being fully trustworthy. I hope a lot of JW's will read this article.

Do you already have a girlfriend? In that case you might see how being in a relationship effects you. Du you feel happier when you are together with her than you are when on your own?

Maybe having a partner will make you less depressed? If you marry, you don't have to have kids right away....you could wait a while until you fell better and stronger.
I wish you the best.

There must be a lot of people with JW background. I remember some statistics stating that only 30-35 % of kids raised in the JW becomes active JW. 65-70% of those kids leave the organisation, most of them probably before being baptized.
We also have a large and growing group of faders/inactive publishers.

"Lawsuits against the local Elder's for defamation of character. The Elders will quit df'ing because the WT lawyers do not really have their back. When they Elders disobey, will the CO remove them all? Then what?! The 20 year old MS's will have to take the lead? Will the CO's and DO's do all the preaching?
What about petitions to the Government to examine the WTBTS's charitable status? Send letters to Forum 18 and the UN?"
Thank you DATA-DOG. I think these are really good suggestions. Local elders could be a soft spot to target. If some local elders should get lawsuits against them , we would probably see a lot of elders and MS stepping down. Nowdays every congregation is a separate unit, probably this was made to cover up the asses of the WTS. But every gongregation as separate unit could be a really soft spot for the society if they have problems finding loyal elders.

How many former Jehovah's Witnesses bury their head in the sand when it comes to reasoning about the NGO "conspiracy"?
by Change Name inhi all - sure sure, you can call me a troll or brainwashed cult member.
i am totally interested in how your answers to these questions.. .
do you find yourself ignoring anything that jehovah's witnesses bring out in regards to their former status as an ngo?.

" I am sure that they may have became the NGO/DPI to help battle countries who refuse to give them the right to preach their message (without jail time) about the kingdom of God and to be recognized as a religion. Again, nothing wrong with that if it helps increase their preaching activities. "
Wow, Change Name! I did not observe this until now! So, now it hasn't to do with morals and honesty ...but to increase their preaching activities. That's OK, but, in that case, why didn't they tell their own rank and file about this? "Hey brothers an sisters, now, as an accepted NGO we now get protection and support from the UN! So please, do not expose our theological wiewpoint of the UN as we now get protection from the beast itself."
